Academy of Social Economy Development is a project co-financed by the European Social Fund within the Human Capital Programme.
Main activities of the project:
On 12-14 December 2012 the Regional Centre for Social Policy (RCSP) within the project ARES - Academy of Social Economy Development (Phase I) had the pleasure to host in Krakow experts and representatives of the social economy sector from Italy. The study visit was organized as a part of the transnational component of the project, on the basis of a cooperation agreement signed between RCSP in Krakow and representatives of the Lombardy region.
During the meetings, the Italian experts familiarized the participants of the visit with the financing tools used in the Lombardy region in favor of social economy entities that could be implemented in Malopolska.
After a short introduction conducted by Mrs Dorotea Daniele that indicated similarities and differences in the social economy sector in Italy and Poland, the following speakers shared their experience and knowledge. Mr Alessandro Ronchi, representative of the Lombardy region presented two funding instruments of social economy entities such as FRIM Cooperation - Rotation Fund for Entrepreneurship and JEREMIE – a fund that facilitates the access to the loans for social cooperatives. Mr Adriano Mione presented one of the Italian ethic banks, which is a financial intermediary for the social economy entities, while Mrs Sabina Bellione and Mr Dario Montalbetti presented the role, activities and financial tools of consortia of social cooperatives (respectively Consorzio Light and Consorzio Cooperfidi).
The presentations were followed by a debate in which employees of the RCSP could ask additional questions to deepen their knowledge about the financial tools used in Lombardy and to be able to compare them with the solutions of Malopolska region. In addition, as a result of the visit Mrs Dorotea Daniele elaborated a report entitled "Financial tools of Lombardy for the social entrepreneurship development" (Polish and Italian version of the report available here: REPORT PL; REPORT IT).
The continuation of the transnational cooperation with the Lombardy region is scheduled for June 2013 - a study visit to Milan is planned to be organized for the employees of the RCSP and representatives of the Malopolska institutions supporting the social economy sector. The participants will visit several social economy entities located in the Lombardy region and will meet representatives of Italian cooperatives and consortia.
The result of the transnational cooperation with Lombardy will be a final report presenting the recommendations of solutions that can be used in Malopolska and describing - a model of mutual fund; cooperation fund for social cooperatives and social economy support centers and as well financing scheme of the projects implemented by the social enterprises.Print
